The Warriors went undefeated in preseason play, and certainly looked like they're ready for the real games to start. A few roster moves were made after Friday night's win over the Portland Trail Blazers, likely finalizing the group that Golden State will enter the 2021-22 NBA regular season with.
As things currently stand, the Warriors' roster consists of 14 players on standard NBA contracts and one player (Chris Chiozza) on a two-way contract. That leaves Golden State with two open roster spots: one standard and one two-way.
The salary cap for the 2021-22 NBA season is set at $112,414,000. The Warriors' current total cap hit comes out to $174,189,694 -- the highest of any team in the league -- which includes Shaun Livingston's final dead cap hit of $666,667.
The luxury tax apron for the 2021-22 season is set at $143,002,000. The Warriors currently are $31,187,694 above that apron, which amounts to $159,898,091 in projected luxury tax payments.
